Travel to school

At Emerson Valley we encourage sustainable travel to school. We like to see our pupils walking, scooting or cycling.  Most of our pupils live within a 20 minute was of the school. It's a great way to start the day with some activity, it reduces emissions around the school and reduces the traffic. 

Morning Walking Bus: If you have another child who goes to Merebrook Infant School your Emerson Valley pupil can join the walking bus at 08:30 next to Merebrook School where they are walked over by 2 members of staff. 

The map below shows the 5 minute and 10 minute walking zones to Emerson Valley School. If you do need to use a car, please can we encourage you to park in the blue zone and walk the final bit to school.  This not only helps with congestion but also gives your child some healthy exercise in the morning.
